About Bushwakka

Bushwakka Adventure Gear is an Australian-based eCommerce brand, creating durable and creative adventure gear for those passionate about exploring the great outdoors. Since launching in 2015 with their Extreme Detachable Car Awnings Bushwakka has expanded their range to encompass over 30+ products, supplying thousands of Australians with the perfect gear to tackle their next great adventure.

The Challenge

Bushwakka wanted to grow even further and establish themselves as a reputable adventure gear brand in Australia, but was struggling to see growth in a market saturated with highly-reputable brands. Boost Social was given the challenge to develop and execute a marketing campaign that would ultimately improve Bushwakka’s presence on Google, increase their conversion rate and further establish the brand as a reputable Australian adventure brand.

Our Approach

Our approach to creating Bushwakka’s marketing campaign was two-fold – while we wanted to focus on growing Bushwakka’s social media presence and help drive more sales through Facebook and Instagram, we also wanted to work on establishing their presence on Google and driving sales through Google campaigns.

Organic Social Media -

Bushwakka had already developed a strong presence online, so Boost Social’s primary task was to refine the content posted and drive strong brand awareness and traffic to the website.

Facebook & Instagram campaigns -

As a first step, we helped the business owners claim the business manager account, ad account, Facebook page and pixel and linked them all together properly. We then created 3 layers of campaigns to drive potential customers down through the funnel to eventually encourage them to purchase.

Within the funnel, we created unique targeting custom to the Bushwakka brand. The business owners helped us understand their ideal customer and we were able to come up with the interest-based targeting to create individual segments accordingly. From here, our in-house creative team designed compelling videos and powerful ad copy to engage, delight and convert the target audience. We also ensured that the pixel was set up correctly to maximise our retargeting opportunities and market to those who may have clicked through to the website, added a product to cart or placed an order.

Google Ads -

In order to get Bushwakka’s Google campaigns set up, there were several steps that our team had to follow.

From here, our team performed extensive keyword research around all Bushwakka product categories. Based on these keywords, we created the search campaigns with appropriate ad group segregation, and created custom audiences on Google to launch display campaigns.
